Deze serie schilderijen en tekeningen ontstond na mijn bezoek aan de kassen van de Botanische Tuin van Glasgow in de herfst van 2023.
This series of works is inspired by my visit of the Victorian Glasshouse at Glasgow Botanic Gardens.
Neon Pelargonium
Within the Glasgow glasshouses there is a section filled with the most amazingly coloured begonias. So bright and so contrasting that in a way they almost feel unnatural. That otherworldly quality is captured within this painting. The leafs are oozing a neon-like light which is in high contrast with the dark background.

Protected from all harsh weather conditions by a large Glauca Pendula grows a cosy collection of small shade-loving plants. It’s safe for them to show all their colours guarded by the large blue tree.
