Als kleurrijke ontploffende vuurpijlen schieten de bloemen van Azigozanthos rufus door de lucht in misschien wel het minst bewerkte portret van mijn hele Botaniska serie. Omdat ik de aandacht niet wilde afleiden van die fantastische bloemen met hun feestelijke energie.

Ontstaan Anigozanthos rufus
Anigozanthos rufus is onderdeel van mijn Botaniska serie waarin ik mijn weg terug naar het licht heb gevonden. De eerste series werken (de schetsen en de collages) zijn donkerder en paarser van kleur. In de eerste set van 16 canvasboards kun je voorzichtig her en der wat eigeel bespeuren. In de 32 canvasboards waar Anigozanthos rufus onderdeel van is kun je de opmars van de kleur geel duidelijk zien.
Background Anigozanthos rufus
Anigozanthos rufus is part of my Botaniska series, in which I’ve found my way back to the light. The first series of works (the sketches and the collages) are darker and more purple in colour. In the first set of 16 canvas boards, you can carefully detect some egg yolk here and there. In the 32 canvas boards that comprise Anigozanthos rufus, you can clearly see the advance of the colour yellow.
