Een beetje bruin om het geweld van al het rood, geel en blauw ietwat te beteugelen. Ietwat, want deze Chantrieri spat nog steeds van het papier. De associaties die ik bij deze plant heb gehad varieren van luchtballonnen, scharen en vlinders tot doodsmaskers – dus voel je vooral vrij om je eigen referentiekader erop los te laten en nog weer iets heel anders te zien.

Tacca chantrieri rubra
A touch of brown to somewhat rein in the onslaught of all the red, yellow, and blue. Somewhat, because this Chantrieri still bursts off the page. The associations I’ve had with this plant range from hot air balloons, scissors, and butterflies to death masks—so feel free to apply your own frame of reference and see something entirely different.
