Ontstaan Heliotropium foertherianum
Heliotropium foertherianum is onderdeel van mijn Botaniska serie waarin ik mijn weg terug naar het licht heb gevonden. De eerste series werken (de schetsen en de collages) zijn donkerder en paarser van kleur. In de eerste set van 16 canvasboards kun je voorzichtig her en der wat eigeel bespeuren. In de 32 canvasboards waar Bougainvillea spectabilis onderdeel van is kun je de opmars van de kleur geel duidelijk zien.

The contrast between the deep dark blue, rusty orange, and chocolate brown, and the blossoming tree, creates an intriguing portrait. Background Heliotropium foertherianum
Heliotropium foertherianum is part of my Botaniska series, in which I’ve found my way back to the light. The first series of works (the sketches and the collages) are darker and more purple in colour. In the first set of 16 canvas boards, you can carefully detect some egg yolk here and there. In the 32 canvas boards that comprise Bougainvillea spectabilis, you can clearly see the advance of the colour yellow.
